Sheinbaum calls for national mobilization on December 6 to celebrate Mexico's transformation

President Claudia Sheinbaum called this morning for a national mobilization to take place on December 6th at the Zócalo in Mexico City, whose purpose, she said, will be to celebrate seven years of transformation in the country.

At her morning press conference, she stated that the call is broad and assured that there is no social discontent, as her critics and political opponents claim. "The call is to all the people of Mexico," she expressed when announcing the march and rejected the existence of a widespread climate of dissatisfaction in society, while attributing that perception to narratives spread on social networks.

"This idea of anger, this dissatisfaction, annoyance that they have wanted to stir up on the networks, there were four people shouting there in Juchitán and 2,000 receiving, and then they make up a whole story, about something that truthfully doesn't affect," she affirmed, referring to events that took place last weekend.

Sheinbaum maintained that during her tours, she perceives citizen backing. "The people know the joy of having received the Interoceanic, so there is a lot of joy in the people, I see it, not only when I arrive in a place where there is a lot of people waiting, but on the way, on the highways, how people greet me," she said.

She added that her "opponents do not want to celebrate, but there is no problem, it is a free country".

The president argued that the march is framed within the progress recorded in seven years, including the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, as well as the first year of her administration. Among them, she highlighted the housing program and the restructuring of Infonavit credits.

"Just look at the housing program; during the six years of President López Obrador, the housing part could not advance more, and now, look, there are almost 5 million Infonavit credits that are being reduced. December 6th, Zócalo of Mexico City".

People who owed their house three times and who are now practically being given the deed," she declared.

She specified that "2 million have already had their debts restructured and there are about 3 million, 3.3 million that will be in November and December, that will have their debts restructured".

She assured that it is about "5 million families with problems paying for their house, 20 years some more owing the house from an unjust credit", who now receive a restructuring or even their deed.

Sheinbaum added that Infonavit will build "almost 300,000 homes" and that accessing a credit is now much easier.
